US-based auction house Sotheby's is auctioning the world's oldest whiskey.

In the year 1940, only one bottle of 'The Macallan the Reach' whiskey was produced.

The name of this 81 year old whiskey is 'The Macallan the Reach'.

The winner who bids for this whiskey will receive a small bronze sculpture sculpture accompanying the bottle.

'The Macallan the Reach' is a deep and one single malt whiskey of 41.6% alcohol content.

Auction house Sotheby's has put this whiskey up for auction on its official website.

The estimated price of 'The Macallan the Reach' whiskey has been kept at Rs 96.72 lakh to Rs 1.75 crore.

The bronze sculpture of this whiskey is created by Saskia Robinson.

The bottle of 'The Macallan the Reach' has been put up for auction at number 3/288.
